What's new in FAQ Book Pro 3.3.0 beta

FAQ Book Pro 3.3.0 beta is full of enhancements that we are sure our users will appreciate and includes all features requested by our users during the last couple of years.

  1. Joomla Categories have been discontinued. A new improved integrated Topics system is used instead.

  2. Each Topic can be independently configured via parameters with independent permission levels per topic.

  3. First level topics do not serve as containers anymore. Instead, we have introduced Sections. Sections represent separate Topics containers.

  4. Each Section can be independently configured via parameters with independent permission levels per section.

  5. Articles are now called Questions. Each Question can be independently configured via parameters with independent permission levels per question.

  6. New menu items added:

    • All sections: Displays all Sections.
    • Single section: Displays a single section.
    • Single topic: Displays a single topic.
    • Single question: Displays a single question.
    • My questions: Displays user's questions.
  7. Email notification system. Managers are notified for new questions. Users are notified for answered questions.

  8. Custom email templates for notifications.

  9. Questions votes can now be reset.

  10. New enhanced system for user questions. User can log in and manage his own questions.

  11. New question form now supports Recaptcha 2.0.

  12. Search plugin that integrates FAQ Book Pro with Joomla search.

  13. New improved search engine friendly urls. Topics/questions id's are no longer used in self urls.

  14. The integrated search system has been discontinued. Minitek Live Search 3.2.7 will support FAQ Book Pro.
