Do standard Joomla breadcrumbs not work for FAQBook items?

Hi there,

I'm trying out FAQBook to see if I can build a typical forum with it.

I have menu items, a Forums section, a Topic and a Question in place.

In the browser URL area, the full tree of these items is displayed as expected.

In the FAQBook navigation, the tree is displayed, of course.

But I have a standard approach to using breadcrumbs on ALL other site pages that I would like to properly display on Forums pages also.

All it shows is just the menu item level, Forums, but NOT the topic or question level.

 

Am I overlooking something here or is this normal somehow to to how FAQBook manages this data?

The integrated breadcrumbs (Top Navigation) displays the full path up to the current topic (not question).

The Joomla breadcrumbs will not display the Topic. It will only display the path up to the Section level. This is because it only displays menu items.

OK, thanks for clarifying.

After installing, configuring and now seeing how it works, this is not a big deal.

The built-in Top Navigation shows where things are at, like you said.
