I'm using the FaqBook to create a social exchange area for my local community.

My Joomla version is j4.2.0 dev (i'm testing newest version as site not yet heavily in use)..

I get an error when I submit an answer or ask a new question :

White page with just the text "Template error page message : Unknown error ..."

the URL is looking like its not finding the right id somehow :

https://www.mont-gargan.fr/component/faqbookpro/?task=edit&id=0

but if i return to the topic and look for the qiuerstion/answer I find it all the same.

I can edit it, and the url is looking more healthy :) : https://www.mont-gargan.fr/pour-le-quartier/petites-annonces/edit/answer.html?a_id=4

The component does not support development versions of Joomla. It only supports stable versions.

Do you still get the error if you revert back to the default Joomla template (Cassiopeia)?

this error shows :

0 count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, string given

We have to wait for the stable version of v4.2.0 as dev versions often contain bugs that create such problems.

hi, i'm on 4.2.0 RC, so i guess the code is now stabilised....

I still have the error I mentioend above though...

The posts do happen, but there is the error every time - Template error page message : Unknown error ..., even with cassiopeia template.

Hi there,

I'll make a fresh 4.2.0 RC installation tomorrow and test it.

Cool.
I prolonged your admin account access to my live site in case another extension is messing things up.
Haven't tested yet when disabling some due to lack of time. Kids, renovation, summer,...
Let me know if you notice anything that I can do on the site to try or debug more.
Cheers!

I have located the error. Can you please verify that you don't get the error if you select an option in the field

Configuration > Notifications > Notify moderators

In my installation, I get the error if that field is empty.

Hi,

I have a user set in the configuration / Notifications / Notify Moderators config entry.

The one user i had was a superuser and a member of 2 other 'lesser' groups . . .

However, i just updated to J4.2 Final release and added another user to the Moderators pool, and submitted a question and it worked fine.

I'll test some more when back from holidays and will let you know if it is gone for good ;)

Ok. This issue will be permanently fixed in the next update.
