Hi,

I am getting this error when updating from 3.9.4 to 3.9.8. Please can you advise on solution or help identify the table that is causing the problem.

Warning
SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1118 Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 8126. This includes storage overhead, check the manual. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs
Before updating ensure that the update is compatible with your Joomla! installation.
You are strongly advised to make a backup of your site's files and database before you start updating.

Hi Emma,

It seems that your database limits may be exceeded and the maximum row size has been reached.

If you send me phpMyAdmin access, I can have a look and perform the database update manually.
