Indexing stops at 10 articles (1000+)

Minitek Live Search - Professional Subscription

Hi Support,

I checked in chrome for javascript errors and there were none, prior to purchasing and installing.

The search indexing stops shortly after starting and only shows the same 15 results after clearing and starting again.

We also have Eshop and Doc Indexer Smart search plugins installed though these are disabled and just content selected.

The indexed content on this site includes 1,057 terms across 15 links with 11 attributes in 4 branches.

There are no errors in the indexer log

Hi Bob,

Can you please check whether the same issue happens when using the Joomla Smart Search Indexer?

Components > Smart Search > Index

Hi,

Yes it does. We migrated the site from Joomla 3 and Smart Search did not work properly. I was hoping that your extension would fix it.

Try changing the Indexer configuration. You will find it in Global configuration > Smart Search > Index

Initially, you can test with a smaller batch size, for example set the value to 5

If this fails, try reducing the Memory table limit (set it to 10000).

Thanks for the advice,

The options were already set at a batch size of 5 and 30000. I changed to 10000 and still the same.

The VPS has 10 cores and 64gb od ram so should not have any problems.

I am sure that its something to do with the database structure and the earlier migration.

Regards the link https://docs.joomla.org/Smart_Search_on_large_sites the CLI indexer no longer exists in Joomla 4.

Do you have particularly large articles (in content size)?

Not really the biggest is probably the front page for text content.

I see a JS error when parsing the 3rd batch of 5 items.

Do you have an article that contains this js code?

Thank you!

I disabled the dearflip extension and the index for articles completed.

The indexed content on this site includes 20,411 terms across 1,025 links with 74 attributes in 4 branches

Hi Again,

Can you send us an invoice please as I cannot find a link to it on the site.

Also with Eshop plugin enabled the indexing stops with an error as attached. The Dearflip dev issued a new update and I tested this enabled and disabled and it came back with the same error.

I have also attached the finder links database structure in case something is wrong with that.

You will find a link in this article where you can download the invoice.

If these errors exist in Joomla Smart Search too, then I can not help with 3rd party plugins. It's the plugins fault and you will have to ask the plugins developers to fix them.

PS. There is nothing wrong with the database, the problem is with the eshop plugin, it's most probably broken.
