Hello! I have successfully installed the component and everything is working great following documentation.

I have made a menu item for questions for guests to submit, but I would like to turn off the a) breadcrumbs on the same line as the "New Question" button, and b) turn off the error message shown to the user that they need to "Please log in to manage your questions." (See attached screen capture)

If there is a setting I have not adjusted in my site or in the component, I just need to know which those are to disable those, and I'm ready to go!

I appreciate your assistance in this small matter. Thanks!!

Hi there,

The component that you have installed is 'Minitek Discussions'. It's not FAQ Book Pro.

Actually, I did have FAQ Book Pro installed BUT I have a deadline so when I realized FAQ Book Pro and Discussions have similar features and I didn't get any errors with the "Ask Question" feature of Discussions, I had to uninstall FAQ Book Pro and move on with using Discussions.

However, Discussions has a similar issue in that I don't want the breadcrumbs to show but if I turn off the top navigation I lose the "Ask Question" button. It's redundant to see the title of the section so many times when I'm using the Joomla! Page Title in my page design.

I'm sure it will be valuable to all your members to learn how to turn off the breadcrumbs but leave the buttons, so if you could please share the best way to do that it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You cannot disable the breadcrumbs only in a particular page, but you can hide it with css.
For example, to hide it in the Question form:

.com-minitekdiscussions.view-myquestion .mdTopNavigation_root {
  display: none;
}

You can add the above code in a css file of your template.
