I just purchased your Smart Search. After several attempts, I was able to index the site, but it only indexed the articles. I have hundreds of business listings on the site. Why did it not see that content? If it won't index all of my content, it is no use to me as the content on my site is 90+% business listings using jBusiness directory. I enabled all of the Smart Search plugins and same result. At this point it is only indexing less than 5% of my site.

Hi there,

Minitek Smart Search does not have its own indexer, it's just using the default Joomla indexer.

So, if your content is not indexed by the Finder component (the default Joomla Smart Search at 'Components' > 'Smart Search')
this means that your 3rd party extensions smart search plugins are not working properly (jBusiness etc).

Does the default Joomla Smart Search index your jBusiness content?

I just responded to you via email as I was not able to respond via the link you gave me. User name and password you sent didn't work. I logged in with new password you sent and I am here now. Here is content of the email I sent:

I went to the link you sent me (https://www.minitek.gr/support/tickets/commercial-joomla-extensions/minitek-smart-search/3070-only-indexing-less-than-5-of-site-content). Shows my post and your response. No place to reply. Do I have to log in to reply? Doesn't tell me that anywhere on the page or give any clue how to reply. Tried to log in to look at ticket using username and password sent to me. Got 403 error that my IP was blocked permanently due to your terms and conditions. Did I miss the part in your terms and conditions that you will block me if I have an issue with the product? Why do I have to go to a pre-sale forum to get technical support?

The answer to your question is no, Joomla Smart Search doesn't index my business listings either. I bought your product expecting it to index everything as your product description implies. If it doesn't do any more than the Joomla Smart Search, why am I paying for it??? If you can't tell me how to make it index 100% of my content, then I would like to get a refund.

I'm not aware of any Smart Search plugins for the directory. I will have to investigate that.

What is it that your extension offers that I'm not getting in Smart Search?

The default Smart Search is a mess actually. The template is awful, the user interface is outdated and you have no control over filters.

I'm just curious, when you purchased the product, did you think that it will index all content, even without Smart Search plugins?
If yes, then maybe it's partly my fault, as the info is not clear enough in the product description and documentation.

All of the jBusiness plugins are enabled including jBusinessDirectory Business Finder and jBusinessDirectory Business Search.

I am not that tech savvy of a user and am new to Joomla. I did not understand the plugin statement. No doubt due to my ignorance of Joomla, not your clarity in the description. I had a developer across the continent build the initial framework of my site, then close his business. I have been learning on my own since. Apparently, I need to contact the jBusiness people and get a plugin if available.

If you could refund my money for now, your product is no use to me until I can resolve the index issue. I will come back to it later when it is resolved.

Apologies for my hostile tone. Was just getting frustrated that I couldn't communicate with you.
