Instead of using 2 images for an article, I would like to try and use 3 images.
First (a smaller image of 440 pixels width) as the 'Intro image' of the article.
Second (a larger image of around 700 pixels width) set as the 'Main image' of the acticle.

The third and largest image (of around 1200 pixels width) would have to be linked to the 'fancy-hover' link in the article.

Normally this fancy-hover link opens the 'Main image' in a popup screen. This is nice but it is limited to the size of this 'Main image'.

I have been trying to adjust the code for display in 'default-elegant.php' in order to achieve this goal.
Would there be a way to make this selectable from the backend?

Thanks for your time,

Hi Ben,

No, unfortunately it's not possible to make this selectable from the backend.
You must create a template override and edit the template file.

Thanks Yannis,

I will create a template override to make it work the way I would like it.

Nonetheless I have found a different way already, without an override.
By inserting a the third image right at the start of the article, but with a class 'hidden'.
I am now able to select the choice for 'inline' image to be shown in the 'fancy hover'.
This can be the larger third image.

It's a trick but it works.
