 I would like to disable the articles and just use the gallery

eg

https://www.spanish-walking.com/walks-by-grade/easy-walks/four-days-in-iberia

shows the gallery - and that is great

but I don;t want the articles to be active - any suggestions on the bets way of achieving this?

eg - this URL is not one I want people to visit

Hi there,

You can't disable the links from within the module parameters,
but you can create a template override and edit the template file.https://docs.joomla.org/How_to_override_the_output_from_the_Joomla!_core

In your template override, in the file tmpl/default.php,
change the line:
$slide_html .= "<h3><a href='".$item->link."' class='item-title'>".$item->itemTitle."</a></h3>";

to
$slide_html .= "<h3>".$item->itemTitle."</h3>";
