 Hi Yannis,

I have this website that I'd like to add a custom field to. And by custom field I mean the new Joomla fields feature for articles.
Can you tell me how cn I add it to the minitek template?

I already have an overwrite up and running for the Masonry - Columns.

I really appreciate any help possible.

Thank you,
Paulo

Hi Paulo,

At the moment this is not possible. I will look into it for future versions.

If you want to investigate this more:

https://joomla.digital-peak.com/images/blog/JDD16%20Custom%20fields%20in%20Joomla%20for%20developers.pdf

These 2 links will give you an idea on how to get started.

Hi Yannis,

Thank you for getting back to me on a weekend.
I have to be honest, I'm not seeing how to just call the value to any frontend module.. or say, an article.

Should I be able to just to something like this?

$input = JFactory::getApplication()->input;
$id = $input->getInt('id');
$article = JTable::getInstance('content');
$article->load($id);
$article_title = $article->get('title');
echo $article_title;

.... I know this is off topic to your support desk.

Regards
Paulo

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the custom fields API at the moment. I will look into it for future versions.
