 hello there,
(This is a very good ticket system!)
I am testing out Wall with the view to installing Pro and using Easyblog posts to feed it. Can I configure the Link icon to open a new tab? at the moment it is working but opening Article items on top of the trial Wall page.

cheers, Robin

Hi Robin,

While there is not a setting that will allow opening links in a new tab, you can easily fix that by creating a template override for the Wall and adding the
target="_blank" attribute to the link.

Thanks Yannis,
could you possibly detail a step-by-step regarding how to do this.
I don't know how to do it!

Hey Robin,

You can find instructions for creating a template override in the documentation:

Hello Yannis,
I found the override instructions thanks. From the N.B. I interpret that this override will stop working when a Component update is installed, and I'd need to re-do the process.

Is the feature ('open in new tab') something which would be useful (and do-able) to put into Wall Config options of a future update?

Cheers, Robin

Hi Robin,

The override will not stop working unless you have made dramatic changes to the php code in the file.

If you have only made some html changes, then it will be fine after an update.
