Limiting by categories issue

I'm trying to setup a search that only returns results from a set of categories (parent with a few sub categories).

The problem I'm seeing is, it's returning results from other categories that are not included in the settings.

After fooling with it, I managed to get it not returning any results at all.

The search form on that page should only show results from the category NVC Library and its sub-categories.

Hi there,

It looks like the indexer has not fully indexed the content. I am running it again to see whether there was an issue. It might take some time. In the meantime, please do not make any changes to the backend.

The Indexer was completed succesfully only after disabling the 2 following finder plugins:

1. Smart Search - JFilters Indexer

2. Smart Search - SP Page Builder

One of these 2 plugins is problematic (probably JFilters), so I would suggest that you leave them unpublished unless you really need to index that type of content.

I have made some changes to the configuration (in the search form) as well as in the menu Browse by Topic and now it should be able to search within the active category + subcategories without actually having to select the filters.

For this to work, though, you must navigate to the Observations page via the Browse by Topic menu in the sidebar.
