Email from Content Notification

I just purchased your Pro version of the Content Notifications component.

It seems that I have everything set up right but I do not see emails being sent. Could you take a quick look at it?

Triggering events from the URL - http://www.virusys.com/index.php?option=com_contentnotifications&task=notifications.createEmailQueue&password=XXX -

lets the notification status progress to "Completed" but no email is listed as "Sent" in the email queue. No email is received at the destination either.

That's an interesting idea. I will definitely look into it for later versions.

I have specific pages where view rights are valid only for a particular group.

As that page gets updated, I wanted to have the system notify the group members that are allowed to view that page. The parent category contains other pages that have different groups with viewing rights.

To visualize better - picture doing custom projects for people where each project gets a webpage. The customer(s) go to this page to monitor your progress and get updates on their project.

For now, I will instruct them how to visit the page and request notification through your subscription (follow) form.

Thanks Yannis.

No, at the current version only specific users that have manually subscribed (with the follow button) to a specific object, can receive notifications for content changes.

If I understand correctly, you want to send notifications to a specific user group when there is a content change in a specific category?

After spending more time in your documentation, I may have clarified a misunderstanding on my part:

Is it possible to manually subscribe a user group to page changes (that they have viewing rights for?) I'd like all group members to receive a change notification/email.

Which specific article did you edit?

I also need the following info:

1. The exact settings of the cronjobs that you have set up in your hosting account.

2. A copy of the file
logs/com_contentnotifications.log.php
You can send it at info@minitek.gr (Please include the ticket number).

No, I did not. It seems there is something wrong.

I successfully received a notification from a page that I had "followed" using {mcnotifications layout="default" option="com_content" item="auto" item_params="f,b,e,t"}

It seems that editing a page (and selecting to notify) does not send an email to the group members assigned to that page.

Hi there,

I just created a new notification for the article Test2 and the email queue was created successfully.

One email was added to the queue for the user smarsh@virusys.com.

I run the "sendEmails" script and the email appears as "Sent".

Did you receive the email at smarsh@virusys.com?
