Topics
Topics can be used as articles with static content or as questions containers or both. A topic may also have children topics.
To create a new topic:

Go to Topics and click on New.
Enter a title and an optional description. Select a parent topic (optional) and a section (required). If this is a child topic, the section will be selected automatically.
Languages
In multi-language websites, all topics within a section must be assigned the same language as the parent section. Assigning a different language to a topic may have unintended consequences and may lead to 404 errors.
Configure the topic parameters.
Options
- Icon class
- Enter a fontawesome icon class for this topic. You can find the icons at https://fontawesome.com/.
- Notify moderators Pro
- Select the users that will receive email notifications for new questions in this topic. This list will display users from the user groups that have been selected in the field Notifications > Moderators pool in the component configuration.
- Image
- Select or upload an image for this topic. The image will be displayed at the top of the topic page.
- Image alt text
- Alternative text used for visitors without access to images.
- 'Create denied' content Pro
- This custom content will display to users that don't have permission to ask questions in this topic.
- Topic votes Pro
- If enabled, users will be able to vote for this topic.
Questions
- Questions visibility Pro
- Select whether this topic will contain public or private questions or both. Private questions are only visible to owners and users that have permission to See private.
- Enable questions
- Enable or disable questions for this topic.
Info
A topic may not contain questions. Instead, it can serve as an article with static content.
- Show opened
- If enabled and FAQ theme is selected, questions will be displayed opened. If Use Global is selected, the topic inherits the parameter from the parent section.
- Votes Pro
- Show or hide questions votes. If Use Global is selected, the topic inherits the parameter from the parent section.
- Answers count Pro
- Show or hide questions answers count. If Use Global is selected, the topic inherits the parameter from the parent section.
Click on Save & Close. Now if you visit the section in the front-end you will be able to see the new topic in the left navigation menu.
